Homemade Frozen Pops

 

1 Kool Aid, unsweetened, package

1 Jelly Powder, package

3/4 c Granulated Sugar

2 c Boiling Water

2 c Cold Water

 

In a 2-quart glass measure, combine the Kool Aid, jelly powder and sugar. Add hot water and stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in cold water. . Pour into paper cups. Freeze about 1 hour or until mixture is thick and slushy. Place wooden stick in center of each pop. Freeze about 7 hours longer or until pops are solid. Peel paper cups from frozen pops before eating.

 

 

Kiddie Frozen Pie

 

1 1/2 c Milk

1 pk Instant pudding mix

1/2 c Cookie crumbs

1 9 inch pie crust

1 c Heavy whipping cream

 

Blend milk with pudding as directed. Pour into freezer tray and freeze until mushy. Stir in crumbled cookies and pour into pie shell. Freeze until solid. Top with whipped cream. Sprinkle top with more crumbled cookies or chopped nuts.

 

 

Frozen Apple Sauce and Fruit Cup

 

1 c MOTTS Chunky or Regular Apple Sauce

10 oz Pkg frozen strawberries, thawed

11 oz Can mandarin orange segments, drained

1 c Grapes, if desired

2 tb Orange juice concentrate

 

In medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Spoon fruit mixture into individual dishes or paper cups. Freeze until firm. Remove from freezer about 30 minutes before serving. 7 (1/2 cup) servings.

 

 

Frosty Pink Lemonade Pops

 

1 c Cranberry juice cocktail

1/2 c Water

1 cn (6 oz. ) frozen lemonade concentrate; thawed

7 3-oz-size paper cups

7 Wooden sticks

 

Mix cranberry juice cocktail, water and lemonade concentrate. Pour into paper cups. Freeze about 1 hour or until mixture is thick and slushy. Place wooden stick in center of each pop. Freeze about 7 hours longer or until pops are solid. Peel paper cups from frozen pops before eating. Makes 7 pops.

 

 

Watermelon Ice

 

4 c Watermelon, cubed, seeded

1/3 c Granulated Sugar

1/2 c Water

2 tb Lime Juice, fresh

 

In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water; bring to a boil and cook until sugar is dissolved, about 1 - 2 minutes. Or, place sugar and water in a 2-cup glass measure. Microwave at High for 2 - 3 minutes or until liquid comes to a boil, stirring once to dissolve the sugar. Let cool. Puree the watermelon in a food processor or blender until smooth; place in a bowl along with sugar syrup and lime juice. Pour into an 8-inch square baking dish. Freeze until nearly solid, about 2 hours. Scoop mixture into a food processor or blender and beat until mixture is smooth, but not melted. Spoon into dishes and serve immediately. Serves 4.

 

 

Puppy Pops (because dogs like frozen treats too!)

2 (32 oz) plain or vanilla Yogurts

1 6 oz can of Tuna in water

2 tsp Garlic Powder

24 3 oz plastic (not paper) bathroom cups

Mix all and scoop into bathroom cups. Place on tray and freeze overnight. Can add veggies, mashed bananas or substitute canned chicken for tuna if you or your pup like.
