Maps and Geography Lexicon

L'attitude - If you have a daughter, it's hand on hip, fingers snapping
and "Talk to the hand!" If you have a son, it's skulking, eyes averted
and "Whatever!" Either way, we know you're catching a little l'attitude!
Lounge-itude - It's the l'attitude of l'aziness that overtakes your
household when there are homework and chores to be done.
Cardinal directions - They are simple specific means to establish each
direction, which should work anywhere on Earth where there is a view of
the sky. If only the rest of the world were so simple and
straightforward!
M.A.P. skills - Parents everywhere have these skills - "Must Alter
Plans" - you've got a huge meeting at the office but Jemimah/Johnny
comes down with strep. You Must Alter Plans.
Plains - The M&Ms with no peanuts, natch!
Valley, girl! - Like, omigod! It's totally the space between two
mountains. Duh.
Peak - Compleatly against the rules when you're playing Hide and Seak.
Volcanose - Your tween's first big zit makes him/her look like s/he's
got a Volcanose!
Mountain range - Sadly, it often immediately follows the Volcanose era
of your tween's complexion.
